Perhaps the very end of Kuchi people in Afghanistan?

Kuchi people in Afghanistan have always been free to move from south to north, from west to east along with their animal pastures. They have been the native people of Afghanistan with clear tracked history as well as known land to pasture their animals on. They have not taken side in the ongoing conflicts yet they are the one that has suffered most in the various fighting’s. Their only interest is to live free as the wind and drive their animals from one spot to the other. They have been considered immune during the internal conflicts and haven’t taken any side.

After September 11 the Kuchi situation has worsen from year to year. Warlords and criminal ministers have been able to make fast money by selling land that belongs to Kuchi people (mostly to Hazara people around Kabul). Even though Kuchi people has been able to show legitimate and valid documents that verify that the land belongs to them, but the corrupt government neglects them as non existing creatures. When the annual call to drive the animals from south to north trough the passes of central Afghanistan they have been stopped notoriously by the Hazara people who has built houses and farmed the land that belongs to Kuchi. Every year they are being shot and killed and their animals has to hunger to death due to drought in the south.

Governmental discrimination
Every minority of the people are given positions in the government with minister posts to each minority group, except for Kuchi people. Since the Kuchi people are nomads with no permanent position, they are ignored and excluded from the government. Is this a democratic government?
Except for the drought and hard climate, Kuchi people are risking their lives every single day due to the ongoing war between coalition forces and the Taliban. With the IED’s that decimates the number of Kuchi’s as well as their animals, yet are they mistakenly takes for terrorists. If we don’t act on time, we might loose an important and colorful people as has been done in the USA and many other countries. Help Kuchi people and protect their rights!
